The way that the body is built and how it is used are mutually dependent. In other words, the structure of the body and any injuries and the level of pain are what dictate the possibilities for movement.
The reverse is also true; a persistent strain that pulls on the tissue in one direction can form and change the structure of the body.
By releasing tension, it is possible for the healing powers of the body to work optimally. We work out of an understanding of regional and global causal connections.
The body is a unified whole. Therefore we usually treat causes rather than symptoms and seek to understand the current reaction.
